It’s an exciting time for the ship management business, as new technologies that enable safer, more efficient and more environmentally-friendly management of large ocean-going vessels are constantly evolving.

Thenamaris is at the forefront of adopting new systems to improve the management and performance of its ships in all three of its management companies. Recent initiatives include:

• In-house development and deployment of electronic forms on all managed vessels, to facilitate the exchange of structured information between office and vessel, and the subsequent analysis and synthesis of data. A notable example is the Risk Assessment and Management System with its associated digital form, which measures the risk of onboard operations on a daily basis.
• Implementation of the SAP ERP system to support core finance, freight collection and disbursement processes.
